Cheryl has over 18 years of expertise from both private and public sectors; specialising in strategy development, project management and change management. Having delved into the banking, oil and gas, aviation and education sectors, among others, Cheryl has served clients across countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Africa and Russia.
With PEMANDU Associates, Cheryl has led an export study focusing on electrical and electronics (E&E), pharmaceuticals, aerospace, information communication technology (ICT), travel, gloves, and palm oil for a government financial organisation. She also helmed a Private Education Group’s business turnaround, providing recommendations to enhance profitability and capacity utilisation while maintaining the group’s overall vision for holistic education.
Having served 8 years in PEMANDU under the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia, she has led the implementation of initiatives in the Education sector under the Malaysian National Transformation Programme (NTP), overseeing private higher education, technical education and vocational training, special needs education, international students, and the set-up of foreign university branch campuses.
Cheryl is a Chevening Fellow and holds a BSc in Management Sciences from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the London School of Economics.
