Ku served as the Director of Palm Oil & Rubber NKEA, ETP Investment & Innovation. He was responsible for steering the Palm Oil and Rubber sectors’ transformation, working with the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Malaysia Palm Oil Board and Malaysia Rubber Board. On ETP Investment, Ku worked with various investment agencies to coordinate, track and report investment as a permanent member on the National Investment Committee. He also managed the Innovation portfolio, working with Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), to develop an innovation economy that contributes towards a high-income Malaysia.

Ku was an alternate member of the National Export Council and AIM General Council as well as a member of AIM Investment Committee on Equity, National Graphene Action Plan Steering Committee and Current Account Committee. He is currently a member of the Construction Industry Transformation Programme Ministerial Committee. Ku co-authored a Harvard Business School case study on the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) published in late 2012.

Prior to PEMANDU, Ku served FleishmanHillard, one of the world’s leading communications consultancies, and last held the position of Managing Director, Market Development, Southeast Asia. He managed the operations of the Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta offices.

Prior to PEMANDU, Ku served FleishmanHillard, one of the world’s leading communications consultancies, and last held the position of Managing Director, Market Development, Southeast Asia. He managed the operations of the Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta offices. Earlier in his 22-year career, Ku had also served three other communications consultancies and a Malaysian conglomerate as a senior management executive.

Ku graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London and holds the Certificate of Legal Practice. He is a Fellow and former Vice President of the Public Relations Consultants’ Association of Malaysia (PRCA Malaysia).
