Tengku Azian has over 26 years of expertise from both the Private and Public sectors; specialising in Education, Finance and the Human Capital Development sectors. Azian has served clients across the globe including those in Malaysia, Tanzania, Bhutan, Oman and the Caribbean.

Having served as the Director of Education and Human Capital Development in the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) for 8 years, she was tasked to oversee the delivery of the Education and Human Capital Development initiatives under the National Transformation Programme (NTP).

Before joining PEMANDU, she was in Investment Banking for 18 years, the last position as Head of Corporate Finance in RHB Investment Bank Berhad, a member of RHB Banking Group, the 4th largest fully integrated financial services group in Malaysia.

Beyond the world of public sector transformation, Tengku Azian is an Independent and Non-Executive Director of Sunway REIT, a Malaysian listed Real Estate Investment Trust and Dutch Lady Milk Industries of Friesland Campina, a listed company on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. She is also a board member of Global School Leaders, Malaysia.

Tengku Azian graduated with a law degree from the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London. After her graduation, she obtained her Barrister of Law from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and was subsequently admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya.

With over 26 years of experience serving an international network of clients, Tengku Azian provides invaluable guidance and leadership for transformational projects across both private and public sectors in PEMANDU Associates.
